Years ago the sun burnt the earth, leaving billions dead. Those who survived, had to get through a horrible disease, the Flare. A young blonde woman named Ava Paige had been in love, had a child. She knew she had to make a difference so she took her and her daughter to a facility, where she studied the virus. There had been no cure, until she found out her daughter, and many others, were immune.

Mabel Paige was just a regular teenager, except she wasn't. Her mother always talked about how she was the real cure, she was the strongest, most immune out of all of them. Though Mabel didn't understand. Until her own mother brands her, 'A1 the cure', and then sends her into a box with only boys.
