Hazel Bennet has never had a boyfriend, and it seems that she won't find one anytime soon. She's spent all three years of her adult life running her family's bookstore, honing her passion for writing romance, and hiding from almost all adult-y things, which definitely includes dating. In fact, every time she forms a connection with a guy, she has The Big Conversation where she shares that she's autistic and then watches as the man promptly disappears from her life. It isn't until an uncomfortable encounter with her favourite--and unbelievably handsome--regular, Tobias Finch, that Hazel finds inspiration for her writing endeavours: Toby wants to take her out on a few dates to show her what a real relationship feels like on the condition that one of those dates has to be to his older brother's wedding. And since it's all just fake-dating anyway, Hazel has no need to worry about Toby losing feelings for her once he finds out about her disability, right? Little does she know that this fake relationship will lead to very real feelings that are so much more than just research for a novel.

Innocence is subjective. When push comes to shove: things change. And sometimes you just have to try not to explode. Pure's always been bullied for her name. When Pure and her parents move to a new town in Florida because "sex by the beach" would be fun, Pure was optimistic. But that optimism quickly faded at her new school where the bullying continued over something she had no control over. With daggers coming at her from all angles, will she survive high school? Completed. Word count [80,000 - 100,000] **************** "You look very beautiful tonight." A cocky grin spread across his handsome face. "Don't I always?" I teased, sticking my tongue out. "Of course you do!" He said smoothly, rolling his eyes at my foolishness. "So, how about instead of just sitting there, would you like to dance?" He beamed confidently. "With who?" I grinned, taking his hand. *** (This is my first story completed 2016, excuse the grammar and spelling mistakes, I will go back and revise all of it once I'm done.)
