(Note: I do not own anything related to Mass Effect or the Artwork shown. This is merely a fanfiction to keep the story going. Furthermore this is not a sequel to After the Smoke Falls, but more of a different version of what I believe should be the conclusion of Shepard's story.)
It was over. The Reapers were destroyed, but at a cost. Billions of lives were lost, Almost all Synthetic Life was wiped out, The Mass Relay's were damaged or destroyed. But in the destruction a new enemy rears its head.
Hydra.
A group of mercenaries, convicts, even remnants of the Pro-Human group Cerberus with the singular goal of domination in this war torn galaxy. Old faces return, along with new ones. Sides will be taken. But the Galaxy was not prepared for this . . . .
Keegan Shepard was Alive.

Eight Heroes from another dimension sent to kuroinu
In another dimension four worlds came together. Two of the world's wanted peace with others, some couldn't trust the other world's and the last one wanted to prepare for anything that could happen. One day their was battle between four armies it was a slaughter. Eight individuals were left they fought each other some fell in battle one by one. One was left standing until a powerful creature appears the individual tried to fight it but it was useless the seven individuals that died in battle came back to life and helped fight the creature and defeat it. Once the creature was defeated the eight individuals looked at each other until symbol appeared on them choosing them as heroes. A vortex appeared behind the individuals and took them to another world. What will happen to the individuals who are they going to fight? All they know is that they are not in their world anymore. The Phoenix

Follow Ty Shepard, son of the legendary Commander Shepard who saved the galaxy three times. The final one only 22 years ago. Not bad for an orphaned street rat who ran with gangs on Earth and had little formal education. You wanted a job done no matter the cost, send Shepard that's what the Alliance said. Too bad everyone seems to forget what a prick he was. Or how he was a calculating, methodical and ruthless bastard. By the 2050s and 2060s it seemed mankind had overcome its old tendency toward conflict. That hope did not last. In the 2070s, as political disputes grew, the United Nations Colonial Administration, a plutocratic oligarchy ruled by Earth's most powerful nations, used its authority for exploitation, abuse, and neglect. For forty-one years the colonies endured worsening conditions until, in 2111, civil war began across humanity's settled worlds. For nineteen years the Terran Civil War consumed everything. Billions died. Earth was devastated. Across the twelve colonized planets fleets fought without restraint. On June 5th, 2130 at 06:30, opposing admirals met above Reach and declared the war over. The following decade offered little relief. Tensions rose, and another conflict seemed likely. Everything changed on January 3rd, 2141, when the Terran Empire was founded in New Alexandria, granting every star system representation. Under the Empire humanity rebuilt and expanded. MASS EFFECT SHATTERED CONNECTIONS
The reapers are defeated however the galaxy has lost its savior. The Normandy crew moves on mourning their commander and friend however, when a faction of N7 goes rogue all hell breaks loose. Can the Normandy crew save the galaxy once more without the commander Shepard to lead them? Or is there another conspiracy afoot that could consume the entire universe
