Long ago, when the pyramids were still young, kings played a game of great and terrible power. These Shadow Games erupted into a war that threatened to destroy the world until a brave, forgotten Pharaoh sacrificed his life to lock the magic away.
Now these Shadow Games have returned and those with malicious designs have attempted to use them for their own ends but each time a group of heroes has risen up to stop these threats and restore balance to the world.
And now, it is the time for a new band of heroes to rise in order to combat a new threat growing on the horizon.

The young servant had not realized on how much he and the prince looked alike, the only 2 differences were that Yugi was way more paler and was not royal. Yugi had somehow gotten hurt, and this is where the relationship began. As his "friends" left him because they could not handle the crying, the caring prince and his friend rushed over to his aid. The servant just thought they'd help so none of their 'slaves' would be harmed and could continue working but that's not how Atem saw it. Later on things had happened to where the prince had ordered his father to keep Yugi in the palace, so the two grew up together until war began. For 3 years Atem had left.. Yugi hopes to see him soon someday.
