Iris Diggory is perfectly content with the life that she has, and is proud to be attending Beauxbatons, the academy of magic in her home country, France.

With perfect grades and an eye for potions and charms, she was easily the head of her class, as well as a shining gold medal to her proud father, Quincy Diggory. Her life was getting better, it was as if nothing could go wrong.

That is up until her father breaks the news that they have to move to another part of the continent for a new position at another ministry of magic that happens to be in London, England.

The idea itself of moving not just schools, but countries? This had Iris in a ball of pure rage. Having to meet new people, saying goodbye to her old friends? It was as if everything went wrong in just the shortest amount of time.

From what her father told her, Hogwarts was much like Beauxbatons, but possibly even better. She would finally get to see the school her cousin would always owl her about. There were boys there, there were four houses just like Beauxbatons, and there were 'better opportunities' and as her father would call it; a fresh start. She was not looking forward to a 'fresh start' at all.

This made Iris feel somehow even worse, having to be a whole different person? Being friends with people she most likely won't even fit in with? This was not a good thing for Iris whatsoever.

Little does she know, her journey at Hogwarts would be unimaginable. So much more excitement than she had at Beauxbatons; especially when she meets the infamous Draco Malfoy.
