I am rewriting the story of "Heart Made of Ice."
Kate Brooks, a disabled girl from Mississippi, is described as beautiful, intelligent, and a talented writer. While in England, she falls in love with a boy named James Peterson. Upon returning to Mississippi, James fails to keep his promise to write to Kate. Instead, his cousin John, who is also in love with Kate, begins writing to her, pretending to be James.
When Kate visits James, she is met with rudeness and cruelty, leaving her confused and heartbroken. In an attempt to escape her pain, Kate purchases an abandoned cabin in the woods.
Upon discovering how James mistreated Kate, John sets out to find her. He eventually confesses to writing the letters, causing Kate to initially be angry with him. However, she eventually forgives John, who then proposes to her. Kate accepts his proposal, and the couple announces their engagement to their families.
Despite their happiness, three individuals are determined to keep John and Kate apart.
"Now that I know what makes you tick.." He said walking over to me.
"I know how to make you listen to me." He brushed my hair behind my ears.
Damn it. This is what I was afraid of. Showing too much emotion has caused him to see my weakness.
"Don't touch me" I slapped his hand away.
"You're gonna need to learn how to control that attitude of yours princess." Cole smiled turning around and going into the bathroom.

With the tragic passing of her mother, Emily was sent away into the foster care system. She lives every day wanting an escape. She wants to make memories that can shadow over the old ones. All she hopes for is a good life, filled with good memories, good company, and something to be remembered by. Little does she know that there is someone else who wants that for her too. Just remember that not everything is what it seems.
