It has been three years after The Battle at Hogwarts and Hermione's training to be the next minister of magic. One year after The Battle she married Ron, but she wonders if that had been a mistake. Ron seems to treat her as his personal demon lately, though Hermione doesn't understand why.

When she meets a certain blonde Slytherin in an old cottage, suddenly the ideas of what is proper and what she actual desires, are contradicting. Attraction quickly develops, even if she doesn't want it to.

Friendships she once thought would last forever, are suddenly strained. Old prejudices are cast aside, and the growing threat of the remaining Death Eaters won't make it easier either. Hermoine questions who she can rely on, and she finds out what horrors actually happened during the war when she was away in her seventh year.

The wizarding world is under threat yet again.
Which dark and painful secrets will she uncover?

--------------------------------------- After the epic Battle of Hogwarts, Hermione Granger, determined to honour her fallen friends and finish her education, convinces Harry Potter and Ronald Weasley to complete their seventh year at Hogwarts. Ginny Weasley, now celebrated as Harry's girlfriend, enjoys a newfound spotlight, though it casts a long shadow over her own achievements. As Harry basks in his fame, he becomes increasingly arrogant, basking in the adoration that comes with being a hero. The couple's famous status draws them further away from Ron, Hermione, and their old friends. Hermione, feeling unappreciated and neglected, begins to act erratically. Her once-steadfast determination drops. Fred Weasley notices her strange behaviour and steps in to offer support. As they spend more time together, a bond forms between them, evolving into a deep and unexpected romance. This newfound connection leads to Ron's realisation of his failures to be a good significant other to Hermione, resulting in a painful breakup with her- which Hermione doesn't take so well. As tensions escalate, a dramatic confrontation in the Hogwarts corridors leads to a final rift between Harry, Ginny, and their former friends. In the aftermath, Hermione, who once stood as the pillar of strength for the group, becomes an afterthought. Her critical role in saving the wizarding world fades into the background, overshadowed by the fame and drama that engulf her former friends. Thus, Hermione Granger, the true unsung hero, is forgotten-a silent testament to the sacrifices she made for the world that failed to remember her. ---------------------------------------- Warning!- Fred Weasley is alive in this book! This book will be kept to the minimum of bloodshed and gore and will mimic the cheery and bright atmosphere of the first Harry Potter book, minus the bad things. Told in Hermione's perspective, with the occasional someone else's POV.

Draco Malfoy, five years after the Battle of Hogwarts, has built a life for himself. He runs a successful business in Diagon Alley and keeps to himself, trying to prove to himself and others that he's not the person he once was. But that all changes when he unearths a few ancient secrets deep within Gringott's vaults. He needs help, and he knows that Hermione is the only one that could handle the problems he needs to solve. It's five years after the Battle of Hogwarts and Hermione Granger is doing just fine. She's settled down, found a quiet job, and has started to move past the trauma of the past 12 years. That is, until Draco shows up uninvited at her office door with foreboding news. They journey across the continent hoping to extinguish a certain form of dark magic from human memory. But can they set aside their pride and work as a team? Join Draco and Hermione as they learn that perhaps they were both wrong about each other, and discover that maybe they aren't so different.
