They say that ignorance is bliss.....
How true that turned out to be for High-school student, Max Durellson. Young Max was living his best life, hanging with friends, maintaining his grades, attending parties and eyeing up his crush.
But that all comes crashing down when a violent gang chase Max into the forest with the intention to kill him, only for someone to save his life last-second.
Except Max's saviour wasn't human...... but rather a terrifying cryptid that spares his life that faithful night......
Together, alongside his best friends Scott and Kyra, his gothic kid-sister sister Brooklyn "Gothi" Durrellson, his tomboy cousin Mei and his crush Christina, Max and the gang form the Cryptid hunters, a group dedicated to tracking cryptids, sometimes fighting them and occasionally having to kill them if they pose a threat to the greater good.
Will Max and his crew be able to help humanity and Cryptids, and maybe track the Cryptid that saved Max? Or will they become a cryptid's next meal?

This story is not getting the attention it deserves, so I am attempting to "re-brand" it. Maybe no one "gets" it. If you want to read about "Normal" teenagers, maybe this isn't for you, it's more complicated than that. It's about a teenager who doesn't fit it, but doesn't want to, who has the best two friends that anyone could have. When Michael loses his home and his family has to move they have his back. And they are there for him when the ghost girl starts following him around. Mariah was murdered when she was just 15, her remains were never found, although no one but her and her ghost friend, Crazy Girl, know where their bodies are buried. The house Michael now lives in is the one where she lived with her family, and her old room is now his. She appears to him one night, trying to taunt him, but against her will she is falling in love with the boy who lives in her old room. Slowly the two begin to fall in love and Mariah tells him her story, and of the hidden danger that lies up the street from him. Kidnapped by the government, He was given two options: fight for them against other unknown monsters or die. The decision was easy, Dayvawn's new goal is to slay the creatures that dare harm humans.
