The Brink of Creation is an epic fantasy adventure surrounding themes of destiny, sacrifice, and corruption.
A teenage vagrant called The Scientist, struggling to survive in the World of Life, seeks the meaning of true hope. Attracting a group of like-minded philosophers, he forms a group called the Some, unwaveringly dedicated to their mission. When the Some discover whispers of the World of Light, a hidden world that may hold the truth of hope, they are attacked by an evil force of the cosmic entity, Darkness. The force drives the group apart within the void between the two worlds, known as The Brink of Creation, and sets off a chain reaction of events that lead The Scientist and his friends down a dark adventure.
Follow The Scientist as he uncovers the truth of these two worlds, seeking the fates of the members of the Some, traveling through the twisted lands of this unknown world, and meeting the inhabitants of the World of Light. Will he reach his goal before they are all overwhelmed by Darkness?
This is the beginning of an entirely original epic fantasy series I am writing based on a terrifying dream I had several years ago. I am new to fiction writing and am seeking feedback. Please enjoy and thank you for reading!

I glare at him, yanking at the bonds. He laughs softly. "Oh princess, you're so delicate. Do not struggle, we wouldn't want you to break, would we?" He whispers. I snarl at him but he's right, I'm sick and weak at the moment and the cold rain isn't helping matters. I turn away, coughing and choking on blood, but swallow it quickly, not wanting anyone to know my state. He smirks slightly. "Why are you so cruel?" I ask curious at his behavior. In the Castle I was kept away from the outside world by my parents, who told me of the dangers that lurk in it. However the servants and the cooks, who lived outside the protective wall of the Castle, always seemed like good people. "Cruel," he scuffs. "I am not cruel. Your kind is. Sitting in your castle, while families starve, homes burned to the ground because the blasted taxes are too high to pay.
