It used to be good. Everything was peaceful. And Tony had always strived for peace. But one day, the arrival of a human girl named Alex brings a new terror to the world of Möbius, disturbing the peace. Feeling sympathy for her, Tony decides to shelter the girl with a safe place to stay and the utmost care.
Little does Tony know that he has more in common with Alex's problems than he realizes. Both of them have a mental demon that haunts them to this day, and much like Alex, Tony longs to find a way to be rid of it. But is there any way for the two of them to work together to find a solution for themselves? Or will Tony and Alex succumb to the pain and torment of their inner turmoil?

A Sonic X AU based on two fanfics, the Sonic Movie fanfic "Just Took a Bit Longer to Find My Way Home" and the Sonic X one "Letting Go of Hope" The movie characters are in this fic. As in Tom, Maddie, Wade, Randall, Rachal and Jojo. It's still like the same timeline as the episodes, but Sonic, at some point, decides to stay with Tom and Maddie, given the parent-child bond. After Sonic and his friends got separated, the blue hedgehog finds himself in a warehouse and was tortured there for 6 months (like in Forces). After he finally escaped, he passed out in an area of a garage, where two humans took him in, after he woke up and explained everything. A special bound between him and the couple blooms when he decides to stay here, slowly recovering. But when discovering that he wasn't the only one on Earth, he starts searching for his friends with the help of his current ones. Join Sonic and his friends, new and old, as they start looking for the Chaos Emeralds and stop Dr Eggman. Sonic and his team must find and make creative ways to survive this turmoil, but also each other. Tense arguments go around their base as they have friends new and old joining them on this mission. Rivals, couples and more have to work out their problems to keep them and everyone else alive.
