Kion has just become the king of the tree of life alongside Rani and they begim to embark on new adventures together.

But things begin to go awry when an old enemy of Rani's family comes to destroy their newfound happiness.



Meanwhile, Qananii, a Kenyan Borana tribe girl leaves her village and goes into the tree of life. 

She has special abilities that guide her along the way one involving shape shifting. With it, she hides under the mask of a lioness to keep her home in the tree of life and to protect her friends.
