"He's healed!" "You're human again!"... Those were obvious lies. He wasn't healed. He wasn't what he prayed to turn back into. This wasn't Trey, it was a monster. He couldn't get his eyes away from the mirror. He wasn't him, it wasn't his past self. The "antidote" was supposed to make him look human.
