Those she had punished in life would demand justice in death. No,that could not be allowed even if it meant moving the ritual to 5 years in between instead of 10, She thought privately as she began her ritual. She stripped naked under the red harsh light of the blood moon as she picked up the spices used to clean dead bodies and began to rub them on her body while reciting some incantations. She broke and ate up some pieces of coconut and threw the rest into the earth. The earth which sustained all life and equally accepted and held the bodies of the dead in it's warm dank depths. She then began twisting and contorting her shrunken yet agile body,dancing the ukpukpe( a traditional edo dance performed by the eldest relative of the dead person). Dead spirits came up from their rest for she was evoking the spirit of death itself. She danced for some time before stopping. "Ogiuwu( the edo god of death), hear my cry, life grows by consuming and feeding off another life. Like a baby in the womb of it's mother. (At this stage she walked to where baby Tony lay naked on the earth watching the whole thing with a kind of fear. He was already tired and weak from hunger and crying.He did not understand what the old woman was doing but knew it did not bid well for him. He could feel the cold chilling hands of death and the unnaturalness of the dead being among the living.

Antique store owner Liz brings home a Victorian taxidermy hound from auction, unwittingly unleashing dark forces on her wife and son. ***** Nat Loman has finally married the love of her life, Liz, and is getting used to her role as stepmother to Liz's 5-year-old son, Liam. The Loman family runs a bustling antique business so they attend a sale where a striking, black taxidermied hound is up for auction. Liz picks it up for the business, but it ends up being stored in their home, where Nat notices strange things occurring. She quickly discovers the past residents had died violently. Then she hears from a friend about the myth of "the devil's dog", a hound that perches in the shadows, tearing families apart from the inside. Soon, people around the Lomans are dying, and Liz is changing, darkening. It's up to Nat to save the woman she loves from the darkness closing in, and to save Liam from danger no matter what she has to sacrifice.
