Mekhi is a young African American gangster working with his crew, Damon, Eddie and Derek, and dealing with drugs, alcohol and violence. In his domestic life, he lives with his girlfriend Kenya and their five-month-old daughter Sydney.

However, Mekhi is selfish and believes he needs more than what he's got. Despite his apparent love for Kenya, he is cheating on her with Nia, a local stripper.

The revelation of this causes a rift in their relationship, in which Kenya struggles to reconcile between Mekhi's infidelity and her love for him‭ while ‬Mekhi has to come to terms with the consequences of his actions. All the while, Mekhi's The confusion affects his performance in the gang, which causes their boss, Eddie, to consider eliminating the pair.
