Skylar Davis is the formidable point guard of Star Point University's women's basketball team, renowned both for her skills on the court and her irresistible charm off it. Accustomed to getting her way, she's caught off guard when her request for off-campus housing is denied.

Forced into a situation she never anticipated, Skylar finds herself assigned a random roommate in the last available dorm: the freshman hall. Nora Coleman, her new roommate, is an English major on a full ride scholarship who has worked incredibly hard to get where she is today. She's ridiculously strong-willed, caring to a fault, and meticulously organized. Skylar finds her to be irritatingly annoying but can't help but find herself drawn to her, intrigued even.

The first night at the welcome back bonfire they play the campus version of Never Have I Ever, both of them claiming to have never been in love. In this version of the game you must then answer a truth if you would do the thing you've never done, both of them being asked if they'd sleep with one another. Skylar says yes, while Nora says no and that is when the bet is made. Skylar bets they will sleep together before the end of the semester while Nora confidently states that they will not.

While navigating the complexities of literally sleeping in the same room as the woman she's sworn to not sleep with, the temptation only becomes harder and harder to resist as she gets to know her. Nora quickly discovers there's more than meets the eye to Skylar, and that sometimes, the best things come from the most unexpected of places.
