World War II had just ended. Germany and Japan had finally been defeated. Jerome Hallow had just gotten back from the war and eventually met up with his brother, Conner. Conner suggested they'd take a break in a bakery.

It has been years since I have seen him. He left me laying in his bed naked and in love. I really thought I hated him, I really thought he would stay away. Ava finds herself stuck in 1944, with "strange" technology called a cell phone, no way of charging it, and no way of getting home. In the midst of a gruesome and horrifying war, she finds herself questioning more than just sanity of the time period, but even her own.
