--Whistling sounds from somewhere nearby, and I jump. The sound of squishing brings my attention back to the uncanny man. His fingers are in the corners of his mouth, pulling his lips back into a smile. He pulls his fingers back further and further until his mouth reaches his ears.
Then, without moving his mouth, his speaks to me. "Do you like my smile?"
I don't reply for a moment, unable to move. I grip the knife in my sleeve, hands sweating. "Too many teeth, I think." I reply. I can't get my legs to work, and realise that out of fight or fight, my body chooses freeze.
His smile drops, mouth disappearing. Did I offend him?--
After her bus ride through the desert is hijacked by uncanny (not) humans, Ariane finds herself fighting for her life in a series of games.
Ragtag team of fighters by her side, she vows to clear the games and go home.

She screamed. Panic started to set in. She was back. She couldn't be taken away from Adrik again. The grip on her tightened. She thrashed. She couldn't believe this was happening to her. They took her onto a simi large craft. Out of the corner of her eye in the shadows on Adrik property she saw a man in all black wearing armor watching as they put her on board. I turned the knife from him so that he wouldn't try and ram into it, killing himself. Instead, he saw the position of the knife, that pointed towards me, and smiled the most sinister smile. "Thanks." As the narrator, I'm tempted to simply write "Middle Finger" because that is essentially what you'll feel like I'm giving you in telling this story. However, for the sake of not being a complete dick, I'll write a little more than just a description of a disrespectful gesture. This story can aptly be described as crude and deranged. As you may have surmised, a crazy person will be telling this story, and the characters involved are indeed also all crazy in their own special ways. There were three men in the group, one instantly stood out to me even with his back toward me. He had deep black hair and I could tell strong lean muscles were hidden beneath his button-up shirt. I falter in my steps a bit, something in my mind telling me to go another way, to ask someone else for help with directions. But I keep walking closer. Something else within me tells me it will be okay. As I get closer, the two men who were facing my direction look towards me and I stop, keeping a safe distance. Hopefully they are able to help me, and not turn me away just because I'm a human. "Hi, um, could you tell me where the front desk is?" The man whose back was facing towards me stiffened. "I think I'm a little..." The man turned toward me so quickly it made my heartbeat waver. His deep blue eyes pierced into my brown ones and called out to me. His jawline was chiseled to perfection, lips parted slightly in awe. Every feature of his face was meticulously handcrafted by God. I never thought I could find a wolf so elegant. He was...beautiful. Something in the air shifted. I could feel it in my bones. "...lost," I finished my sentence after a brief pause. No one answered me. Did I say something wrong? I look between the three of them and see that the two men behind the man who was staring so intently at me were looking between me and him. "Mate."

Fantasy, horror, and science fiction are my favorite genres to read. They are also my favorite to write. I've enjoyed writing since I won my first writing contest in the fourth grade. That was over twenty-five years ago and I haven't shared a sinlge word of it. Imposter syndrome is a bitch! Well, I finally managed to pull the trigger. Here is "O Negative". It's a mix of all of my favorite genres. I've mixed a fantasy, based on present-day Earth, with plenty of graphic horror and wrapped it all up within a world driven by the technological advancements that only can be obtained from millions of years of civilation. A small group of strangers find themselves surviving in a decimated world. It's bad enough to be stranded in a no-name town, but things become surreal when you realize the vast majority of humanity has died...it becomes terrifying when you realize you aren't that lucky to be alive. "Survivor's Guilt" isn't a thing when you find yourself the sole food source for an entire group of beings that no longer need to hide in the shadows. Man is no longer at the top of the food chain...they are now the cattle.
