Jennie Ruby Jane Kim is a fashion enthusiast and a big name in the entertainment industry
Big name for the world but a big baby to her best friend, Lisa- the only person she can be herself with(no offense to her boyfriend)
Friends since God knows when, They become each other comfort, a kindred spirit to one another
But does growing up mean growing apart? That has been always the question Jennie has when she misses her best friend dearly, and she misses her every day.
She knows her best friend is trying her best to communicate despite the distance, but it seems the brunette is never satisfied by the little amount of attention given to her. But of course, she would never admit that. her best friend is busy after all.
But when Jennie's boyfriend proposes and Jennie says yes, means being able to see- and convince Lisa to go back home, after years of being apart. Because why wouldn't Lisa agree? She's getting married after all, of course, she needs her Lisa.
But little did Jennie know, that meeting Lisa again made her feel things she couldn't understand, just like when they were younger. Surely this is all because she misses her,
Right?
"I'm in love with you," she whispers, her voice breaking. Jennie's face softens completely. "So much that I think it might kill me, except I don't even like you right now. I don't even know who you really are. I don't even think you do." She shrugs. "I would love to be with you but I can't, Jennie, I can't. I can be your friend, but I really think you need to figure out who you are and what you want before anything else can happen."
Jennie's face falls and tears stream down her cheeks. Lisa wipes them away reverently, breath uneven at the wetness on the thumbs.
"You don't want me?" Jennie chokes hopelessly.
Lisa smiles and shakes her head. "It's not about what I want," she breathes. "Plus," she tries to smile. "It might not just be you that I'm getting."
