You know how the orchestra was still playing while the Titanic sank? I always knew that I'd end up like one of the violinists, tuning out all of the chaos around me and still doing my thing.

A catastrophic cyberattack has rendered all of the world's electronics crippled, but consumerism is still alive and well despite the disruption. 29-year-old Darcy Stein always figured that she'd still be slinging mochas during a complete breakdown of society. Because, you know, that's just how it is. The Jupiter Bean Coffee Chain remains open and the customers still come in droves. The self-proclaimed Doomsday Barista continues business like usual, but she soon finds that, like the orchestra on the Titanic, she and her coworkers are soon going to go down with the sinking ship.

But not if she has anything to say about it.
