Helen's Best Friend

"Is It Okay To Love You?" Iris whispered to John.

Throughout Helen's life, her best friend Iris had been right there beside her. Been there when she met John. And when she died.

When Iris got the call from John that Helen had collapsed due to her illness, she had booked a flight right away.

It was Helen who had asked Iris if she would stick around to look after John in her stead. That he would need another person to lean on when she would not be there.

Unbeknownst to Iris is that she would get tangled up in what John had believed was that the past would stay in the past.

Though Iris also thought she had left her past behind as well.

"I want to say the same to you. What right do I have to feel this way," John exclaimed.
