Před deseti lety někdo našel Tylera Ogdena uprostřed lesní stezky mrtvého. Jeho vražda nikdy nebyla vyřešena a jeho případ odložen. Nikdo se nikdy nedozvěděl, co se mu doopravdy stalo, ale ten, kdo mu to udělal věděl, co dělá a udělal to s nevídanou brutalitou. Vypíchnuté oči a utržená čelist, která se povalovala o pár metrů dál jako kdyby ji někdo odhodil. Celé město se na dlouhou dobu ponořilo do smutku, ale také strachu. Obyvatelé našeho malého města se začali bát, že kdokoliv může být další.
Pravdou bylo, že jsem tam v tu noc byla. Dodnes jsem si pamatovala každý moment toho, jak Tyler umíral. Jak chrčel, když se dusil vlastní krví. Dívala jsem se do těch dvou černých důlků a sledovala, jak jeho tělo naposledy ještě párkrát se sebou trhnulo, než chcípl.
Pravdou bylo, že tam v tu noc byl ještě někdo-cosi.
A teď po deseti letech to bylo zpět a něco ode mě žádalo nazpátek.
