Ayaka flinched, taken aback by her mom's outburst. She was shaking, but her gaze was unwavering, locking eyes with her mother.
Little did they know, Himari stood outside the door. A hint of sadness crept onto her face. She hadn't even had the chance to knock. Feeling wounded, she slipped away from Ayaka's doorstep, tears silently streaming down her cheeks.
