In The Stars ↬ Isaac Lahey

Luna Whittemore and Isaac Lahey grew up across the street from one another and would always find a way to be together. One day, Isaac starts ignoring her and simply never speaks to her again. But when Luna hears a gut-wrenching yell of agony erupt from across the street, she has to make sure her oldest best friend is safe. She finds him in their spot, a large rock beside a small lake in the woods. Luna is determined to get her best friend back, but Isaac is holding something back that she can't put her finger on. Can the pair reconcile their pasts and work on their promising future?

"Some people say when you die, your brain stays alive for seven minutes to go relive your special memories." Isaac turns to face her with a slight smile on his beautiful lips. "Who would be in yours?"

"I'm not sure. I think mine would include a lot of people." She laughs lightly in response, her mind flashing to all of her loved ones.

"You would be my seven minutes." Isaac looks her in the eyes as her smile drops and she gulps to subside the butterflies that erupt in her stomach at his words and the smirk that lay taunting her on his lips.
