Professor Drayton and his assistant, Asterix May, were building a machine that could purify air. After twenty-two tries, their work was finally a success. But they did not realise that it was too good to be true until the machine was stolen.
But that was not the worst part.
When unexpected changes began to occur to the people in the environment, all hell breaks loose. And when Asterix has to face the greatest shock of her life, all hell blows up.

The Untouchables booby-trapped the Earth with artifacts believed to be creations of Earth's early civilizations. These machines of destruction are responsible for the blazing heat that is incrementally destroying the Earth. What causes complications for Laura's progress is her growing attraction to Merc, oddly because he's as void of a conscience as she is. She needs to figure out if Merc knows where the machines are so she can shut them down. Merc in turn, needs to stop Laura from finding the machines to keep Earth on its path to ruination. They are more powerful than they are letting on, and have no qualms about killing the other.

She was just a little child when he began to teach her about robotics and AI, but Luce can't remember a moment where she was bored with him. But sadly, this happiness won't last forever. Soon she will be left alone in the place she calls her second home. But how long will this last until one of their creations decides to keep her company?
