I stumbled upon a duolingo blog post (https://blog.duolingo.com/break-up-lines-in-10-languages/) with some pick-up lines in different languages. let's all thank odacchi for giving countries characters would be from (or very obvious hints that allow us to make connections), and without further ado enjoy the story!
p.s. some of these will be in the actual language when I find it appropriate but it might end up being most just translated to english because I think it's funny that way
