Edgar has always lived a life of scorn and hatred, however, after discovering his true powers and making a friend he has never imagined he would have gotten, Edgar begins to change. From being a clumsy person looked down upon to being a respected professional, Edgar meets the girl that gives him a chance to become a different person. But Edgar soon discovers that he can't take everything for granted...

But Edgar's mind tells him that he did the right thing. "Sorry, mother, but I don't need you." Edgar turned away and pauses. "Wait. You're not dead yet."
"No! Don't! Please, I'm begging you!" Edgar's mother cries.
"How many times have I begged you to stop? And do you listen?" Edgar sighs. "No? Well this is fate."
But his hands, which were shaking with fear, drops the knife in fear. He bends down and his scarf does the killing for him.
Squeezing his eyes shut, he did his best to ignore the screams of pain and betrayal. Moments later, his scarf poked him, telling Edgar that it was all over.
"I'll survive on my own now, thanks."
