Their parents have passed away in a terrible accident, and now Darry and Sodapop are left to raise Ponyboy. Thankfully though, they have the help of some amazing friends.

Sodapop felt disconnected and almost sick all of the time and was very tired of being a middleman to his brothers all the time.
