Rosalind Auronight was an orphan who had no idea where she came from, nor does she know if she had any relatives living. She had spent almost her whole life in a small cottage in the woods, learning how to read and write by her black cat Starling bringing her scraps of newspaper and lost books. Sometimes she sneaks out of her cottage, just to take a peek at a school, to learn, yet she never dreamed to be in one. Her whole life changed dramatically when a letter from Fioreae School of Enchantments had flew in through her window. She attends the school and finds amazing friends, learn magic, and finds one of her beloved family member. But, there is a seal that forbids the two siblings to be reunited.
