Abandoned at birth and sent to live with many other orphans in a church, Kaylyn has never really had a normal life. Everyone was family under the care of Sister Marie, and for seventeen years she was convinced that her life had finally become normal.

When she discovers the children and Sister Marie brutally murdered inside the convent, her life takes a drastic turn. She has no choice but to join the Black Cross along with Jason, her childhood friend. She learns of their enemy – White Spades and was convinced that they were the enemy. Until she personally meets the members of the White Spades.
Kaylyn sets out to find out the truth while seeking revenge for Sister Marie. Along the journey she learns more than she was supposed to; that not a single one of them was as saint or evil as they were said to be.

Sadly for him he just found out the hard way that anemic blood doesn't taste very good.
