(Naruto!OC x Young Justice) Nora was a powerful shinobi, the last of her clan. Though she tried her best to keep people at arms length, her heart simply couldn't stop her from letting people get too close. It had happened many times, and each time she got others hurt because of it. After her friends all split up, she threw herself into training and studies, going from Genin to ANBU ranks in just a few months. But it all came crashing down when she once again failed to keep people at a distance. She had lowered her walls and let someone close, believing him to be truly kind and loving. But he betrayed her, and sent her away to a new world until his boss had a plan to use her and her powers. When she woke up in this new world, things didn't exactly work out smoothly. Between the superheros, a new language entirely, and a concerning lack of chakra, Nora found herself struggling to adapt and even survive. One of the heros extended an offer, both to help her find a place in this unfamiliar land, and to keep an eye on her and her confusing abilities. Nora ended up on the Young Justice Team, comprised of two well trained young humans, a martian, a Kryptonian clone, a metahuman speedster, and an atlantean. She didn't exactly fit in, but she was a noble and loyal shinobi. So she stayed without complaint. Not that many people would be able to understand her if she did complain. And once again, she's thrown into the fight to keep the people closest to her safe and protected, but also at a considerable distance. And its not a fight easily won. Will she win this time, or will she fall to her own feelings again? #23 in kaldur #53 in kaldurahm #4 in martian

Inspired by Instagram account: talon.grayson Extract from the book: Inside the cave the scene was still silent. Some lay in sleep within the pool of blood, and not a sleep they would ever awake from. Others sat in silence, utterly defeated from the half day they had spent in that room with Talon and the utter fear he had made them feel when he hunted them all down. A hunter and its prey. They had been put closer together now as well, Talon had deemed that they could talk but they were still separated enough that none was within reaching distance of the other. But they didn't want to talk. Some of them wished it would end already, like M'gann. Some were struggling to keep up their sass, like Artemis. And some were trying to stay in control, not to let their emotions get the better of them because that's the boy they raised doing this god-forsaken things to them. But the control would not last. Everyone knew that at some point the Batman was going to break. And he was going to break the hardest. So they sat there, chained and restrained in their chairs, wearily watching him as silent tears fell to the floor and mixed in with the red of their fallen friends. Jason had been walking for nearly twenty-four hours and his hopes for finding anyone in the cave alive were dwindling with each second. But he had gone and done the noble thing, he had gotten help. Maybe the three of them could stand a chance at beating Talon, maybe they wouldn't. But they had to try, it was the right thing to do. So the trio headed to the cave, not stopping to rest for the night because they could feel the danger in the air, they could tell that this strange boy that had turned up on their doorstep was telling the truth. A truth that could destroy America for good.
