Sleep Comes Down

This is a Stranger Things fic in the series Welcome to Strangerville. In this alternate universe, mysterious plants grow out of the plumbing in Hawkins. The government attempts to cover it up despite the fact that it becomes an ecological hazard, attracting the attention of environmental activist groups.

This story focuses on two original characters who are experiments much like Eleven, Henry and Kali. The only difference is that they are Russian experiments that were co-opted during the war. This story contains references to Soviet/American relations, the complications that war brings, and the effect it has on minds of the youth as well as the world they are expected to inherit after the smoke clears.
