I met you once on these plutonium shores. My soul was jagged, my journey burned and bruised a thousand ways from the regrets I bludgeoned myself over and over with. Once long ago, I remembered the promised land I'd faithlessly forgotten. The dreams we built, the worlds we hid in where not another soul could reach us. Where in the twilight of our youth, we could pretend the past hadn't already burnished who we were. So when the sun rises, I hope I'll reminisce with you again like we did once in a dream.
