Nikolai, a young boy confined in his own head, wondered about questions untypical for a child. As circumstances influenced his thoughts, he began to desire the perfect freedom- where he would no longer be lost and hurt. He met a young girl inside the church one day: Bernadette, his one and only friend who had understood him. His one and only friend that had made him, unexpectedly, truly happy. All the pain and suffering they've harbored has come to decide their own end.
But, the end doesn't have to be that way.
