You, the next fire lord were getting ready for your coronation. Your brother General Iroh II knew you would be a great leader so he relinquished his title as the fire lord to help his kingdom. But the same day, the Fire Kingdom was attacked. You used every single bit of your bending to help your kingdom. And even the united forces tried to help, but once they arrived... It was too late. You were evacuated to Republic City with Tenzin, where Korra was. You both had so much in common that a friendship grew. But so did with one of Korras friends, Mako. No one knew your identity as the next Fire Lord except Korra and Tenzin. The Fire Nation has been in a period of peace for years. Benevolent leaders have risen, rulers who care more about the people than their own interests, and the country has managed to become the most stable nation in only a short amount of time. The benevolent rulers and those who used to place themselves over their people, however, have something in common; they are family. Kaida, granddaughter of former Fire Lord Zuko, daughter of Fire Lord Izumi, is the next Fire Lord in line. Her people come first and she wants the best for her nation, but doubt creeps in the corners of her mind, fuelled by her own thoughts and her abilities, twisting her mind into watching a future where she rules, one where Dragonfire and ash is all that remains. In a trip to Republic City, she finds out in the end, her worst enemy is herself. The Legend Reborn is a story I wrote in late 2014 about the Avatar after Korra. After the release of the Legend of Korra follow up comics I went back and added references to the events of the comics but didn't change my story. Following the 2021 announcement of Avatar Studios I decided to share my ideas since it's very possible Bryke could decide to continue the Avatar Cycle and render my story implausible. I hope they instead decide to go backwards (possibly a Kyoshi series) since there are also many other great fan projects that would be rendered implausible by a Korra sequel (notably The Legend of Genji, a project very different from my own but has my respect and admiration). But who am I to disagree with what Mike and Bryan do with their own fantastic universe. We all know and love the story of Avatar the last Airbender, but what if things were a little different? What if Prince Zuko was the Avatar? This simple question throws the entire Avatar world for a spin. Let's start with a summary shall we? With the disappearance of the avatar after the death of Avatar Roku, the world watched in horror as 3 more fell after him. The airbenders were all wiped out and so went the air nomad avatar. The southern water tribe had all of its benders taken and killed, along with the avatar of water. The earth kingdom has been sacked for decades by an onslaught of firebenders. On the battlefield, the firelord himself slew the avatar in vicious combat. Now the world has all but lost hope as a new Avatar has yet to be discovered anywhere in the world. Many believe that the cycle has ended, others believe that there was no Avatar. A new one would rise from the unlikeliest place possible, from the throne room of the firelord himself. In Republic City, Naomi meets Korra's new friends, and she help Korra with her fight against Amon.
