"i don't know how to make you believe that i can make us work again. but i'm not going to give up. i did that once and- well, i'm here again because it was the wrong choice. give us another chance." he says, hoping i would accept his apology.
"luke.." i trail off.
"em, please. let me fix this, you're more than i deserve, i know" he tries reaching for my hand but i pull back, afraid that even the smallest touch from him would send me back to who we used to be.
"do you know how many nights i almost called you?"
"why didn't you?" i ask.
