Lemonpaw feels rejected by her mother. After her father and sister's death, Hopeflight's mourning continues, and she pushes her daughter aside leaving Lemonpaw no choice but to seek comfort elsewhere. On her journey she meets a group of cats, but will she ever be accepted as one of them?

Frostpaw feels that they are weird and tries to stay away from them any way that she can, but what happens when something horrible happens?
