Ericka Torres was born to John Torres and his Romulan/Vulcan wife Lavala. Ericka is younger than B'Elanna by about two years. Ericka got her blonde hair from her mother and eyes from her father. Ericka went to the Academy and graduated when she was 20 years old, but joined the Maquis, where she met her half sister and formed a bond with her, when Tom was in the Maquis, she and Tom began a relationship.
In 2371 Ericka and the other Maquis are thrown 70,000 light years away from their home, they become stuck on a Federation starship while Ericka is reunited with two blasts from the past, Harry Kim and Tom Paris
