Dex Dizznee has another hopeless crush on a girl who will never love him. After the Neverseen have been defeated, everything seems to be in order in the Lost Cities. Sophie Foster is finally living a somewhat normal life with Keefe Sencen and Dex is back to being forgotten.

Fitz Vacker has an old forgotten life that's been wiped from his memories. He doesn't remember the people from his childhood who had such a large effect on him. He especially doesn't remember the boy with blonde hair and freckles who looked at him the way no one has before.

But everything changes again when both Dex and Fitz are kidnapped by an organization similar to The Black Swan that are determined to make elves stronger and create a new world for themselves without the negative expectations the elves have now. A world free of judgment and full of acceptance. But also a world that plans on destroying the one Dex and Fitz grew up in.
