All the way from the budding age from a kid to a teenager, Darla Karamat has experienced death and loneliness. Losing three relatives and a Father all in the short time span of a year, not to mention the supposed friends she had before she moved, she decides to build up inpenetrable walls around herself, turning cold and bitter to the people around her. Shattering the popular image people labeled her to be, she pushes away everyone around her, leaving them before they have the chance to leave her.

Alec Lutwin, coming back from a year-stay in South Carolina, is welcomed back to West Ridge High with open arms, everybody ecstatic he's back and immediately re-crown him as WRHS's King.

Unfortunately, not everybody's bowing down to his feet.

Determined to shatter Darla's cold exterior, Alec finds himself in a situation he was never prepared for.
