Two Bodies, One Soul: A Damsel Fanfiction

This is your pre warning. If you haven't watched Damsel yet, I highly suggest you do. It's well worth your time and has an amazing story line. This fanfiction has major spoilers for the movie. So, for the sake of those who would not like the movie spoiled for them, I highly suggest you watch the movie before reading this fanfiction.

Since the beginning of time, all humans and animals alike have been born with a counter part. For the humans, their counterparts are beings that take the shape of different animals. Each of these animals have a favorite form to take. Whether that be a fierce lion or lioness, or a sly fox. Or even a mouse. For the animals, their counterparts are beings that take the forms of humans with animalistic qualities. For a wild horse, their counterparts have long, horse like hair. For dragons, their counterparts have dragon like eyes and scales along their stomachs, arms, and back. These counterparts are more commonly known as daemons.

This story is about a young woman and her daemon. Their names are Elodie and Xena.
