story set in the 90s mainly following two girls (cheerleaders) as they fall in love and have to deal with the consequences of being gay in the 90s.
but overall it is a story about people just living life in the 90s, pov's from both of the girls and from that of one of their brothers
there some straightness love in this book, but its just unrequited love so dw 😂

Hannah is a shy, nerdy, geeky girl with very little friends. In fact she had no friends other the the few people she talks to online when she plays video games. She gets bullied A lot. Her parents are always working and almost never at home. Their always on 'business trips'. She has a sister named Jade and she's the closest thing she has to a friend. She is lesbian and has a massive crush on the schools 'badass'... Rae. Rae is your average teenager. Kinda short, short hair dyed a nice deep red. Loved once but it crashed down so she blocked off her emotions and haven't loved since. She wears a letter jacket and a lot of black but doesn't wear makeup. Rae doesn't give a shot about anything, or so people think. She has had a dark past and still struggles with a lot of things but doesn't let it show. This story is bout their relationship, as it grows, they learn about each other and help each other. Will this shy girl go for it? Will this badass fall for her and finally love again?
