In the land of Fiore dragons are a very normal part of society. So normal that few very skilled humans have been able to befriend and train some. These humans are known as Dragon Riders. They devote their life to the education and thrill of raising a dragon of their very own.
One female dragon rider, Levy McGarden, has devoted her life to a dragon of the name Gajeel. After finally passing the test and becoming bonded to one another, their adventure continues until an ancient secret comes into view.
Can Levy and Gajeel deal with the fate thats been set up for them?

Levy McGarden... way too smart for the people of her age group. That's how she ended up as an English/Solid Script teacher at age eighteen. She breezed through high school and college. People say she is smarter than everyone they know. The thought always makes her happy but it tends to make her really lonely until she finally starts her teaching. She isn't shocked when she gets put in charge of Senior Literature, it actually makes her really happy because she is teaching the people of her age group, but there is one student that catches her eye the first day. His name is Gajeel Redfox and he is a total trouble maker. What worries her the most is that fact that he seems fascinated with her and if she gets too close to a student she could get in trouble, or worse... fired.
