Kiara Augustine Coleman is a happily single seventeen year old girl enjoying her youth. But her family doesn't believe so. Kiara and her family's ideal of enjoying youth is a bit different. Her family believes that she has only a couple friends and that she doesn't explore. They think her social life isn't good enough, or maybe not interesting enough. She's sick of hearing it all the time.
Flynn Lucas Harrison is a swimming athlete. He's focused on his training and studies, like Kiara. He and Kiara have known each other since grade school, but were never really "close". Some would say they're just casual friends. A friend you say hi to and ask how they've been, you don't talk about other things, but wouldn't mind lending a hand when they're in need of one. Flynn is described as a gentleman by many, Kiara agrees as well.
So when Kiara comes up with a plan to find a fake boyfriend to introduce to her family in order to prove that she in fact has a social life in contrast to what they think, she makes a deal with Flynn. He's a gentleman, smart, athletic, focused on his academics, and handsome. He meets all of Kiara's qualifications for a fake boyfriend.
In their foolproof plan, everything falls into place.
They successfully fool Kiara's family.
But would they go as far as fooling themselves too?
