In my bed I lay, thoughts of death clouding my mind. Trauma of long before. I can still hear his breath on my neck, the merciless grip on my neck and words unforgiving. The sound of thunder makes me remember everything. "I'll be quick" he said in a voice so sweet while ridding me of something so dear.

Avalon Avery, a completely shattered person. A girl who gave up on love the moment her mother's boyfriend had his way with her.
