Few knew what had taken the South, the land hidden in smoke but those closer to the Creators saw what lurked in the shroud...

Once we were one. One kingdom. One king. One powerful nation. But two greedy warriors destroyed that. They shattered our empire in two. Breaking apart people. Shadow Side

One girl is somehow singled out while she's pulled into the situation despite her desperate attempts to go back to her normal life as she'd once known it.
