Shion's life changed the day the world experienced the Blackout. Awakening to find her father ensorcelled (it *is* a word), Shion joins a group of adventurers, Dave, Jova and Jova's twin sister, the group leader, Mila, in order to find a mage powerful enough to break the spell.

She soon finds that her father is not the only one suffering under the spell, but she soon learns that Mila, Jova and Dave have deceived her. Now lost in a sprawling, lost, underground city, infested with the darkest, most horrific creatures, the group fight for their very survival.

Along the way, Shion has to examine everything she believes in, what she knows is real and what isn't and her true place in the world.

Also, there's Bob(s), Trevor and Bernard to deal with. This complicates things.

Because of this, Mato finds himself embarking on a perilous path in-game in order to master his soul and as thus, restore the thin line which lies between the game world and reality. He in turn; encounters several friends along the way as well as several foes which he must overcome to reach his goal. Yet, the overall question remains... Can Mato gain mastery of his soul in time or will he sink into the abyss as his AI counterpart takes over his soul? To accomplish this task he enlists the help of Kayu, a seemingly carefree dark elf(a third personality in form of his in game avatar) to go ahead and exploit the limits of the human soul. "Jeez! Don't go dumping all your expectations on me damnit!" Sigh....
