The story of a young opera singer whose voice was taken away. But she had a choice to make: Get her voice back and marry a mysterious stranger or follow her heart and marry her true love?
Note** The story is very much inspired by Phantom of the opera and only basically finished. I still plan on working on it to make it more detailed and better. This is just the first draft but it can be read already. Also English isn't my first language:-)

Phantom's Understudy
**A Phantom of the Opera Fan Fiction** The Phantom's plan was perfect - get rid of the Prima Donna and surely Christine will be the only one that could play the part. It's been stated several times - "There is no understudy for La Carlotta!" ...but what if there is? Elizabeth Bell seems like she is just another chorus girl, but she steps up confirming that she is the understudy for the role. After a successful opening night, she learns that she has gotten in the way of the infamous Opera Ghost's plans and now has to abide by his rules or leave. What is she going to do now? Especially when she starts to get to know this mysterious man behind the mask? Does she stay in the shadows of the Opera or move on? **Author's note** I know I'm late to the game with these fanfictions but I have been obsessed with Phantom of the Opera for about 15 years and have been wanting to post something for a while. Feedback is more than welcome! And, of course, I do not own the Phantom of the Opera or its characters.Complete
