As a Capitol favorite, it was her job to please the people in any way that they desired, even if she was still a child. As a pawn in the hands of President Snow, it was her job to make sure everyone fell in line, meaning she would have to suffer until everyone complied. During her time, she met Finnick Odair. He was a kind soul in a strong body. He was intimidating to her at first, but behind closed doors, she had no wish to spend her time with anyone else. Through thick, and through thin, Finnick helps Alexei overcome battles of her own, as well as the physical struggles they are both sent through.
