This story continued after the end of the popular game Duskwood.

Five years. That's how long has it been since Hannah Donfort case has been solved.
Five years. That's what it take for Jake to be finally free.
Five years. Was the time that passed after Kate (MC) left without warning.
But what was her reason for disappearing after solving the case? None of them knew. Even Jake who found out after five years wanted to know.
However it dawned on them that in the first place, they knew nothing about her. What she look like? What she sound like? What's her full name? How old she is? Where she live?
So,
Who exactly is Kate (MC)?
None of them knew.
All they know is that she's shrouded in mystery.

(Duskwood with alternate ending) Willow and Jake love to drive each other crazy and the fact that they are chasing a masked madman doesn't seem to stand in the way. The story begins at the beginning of 9th episode, right after Jessy's and Thomas' visit at Michael Hanson's house. I'm following the game plot a little, but then things will change drastically. (Little additional info for you: English is my second language and I'm constantly correcting any mistakes I can find, so if you see anything out of place, feel free to let me know.) Duskwood: Love's Beginning
Even in the darkest moments, the beginnings of love can be found. Jayna Chacon is stuck in a rut. Her job is interesting, but she doesn't have any friends or anything else she's particularly passionate about. That is until a group of strangers starts texting her, asking her to help find their missing friend. Shortly after a faceless man reaches out and starts giving her orders. As time goes on, Jayna realizes she's risking her heart, her safety, and maybe even her life. Disclaimer: This original work of fanfiction is based on Everbyte Studio's mobile game, Duskwood. A week after Hannah Danford has been found and brought back home safe, Jake decides to visit Duskwood to finally meet his half-sisters - and you. You try your best to find out where you two are at with your relationship while you slowly get to know each other more. But unfortunately, Duskwood doesn't stay safe for too long - as if it is attracting danger, a new criminal shows themselves, and you and the others have to rely on yourselves to stop this person. Fem!MC x Jake, slow burn romance, drama and thriller, reader POV. There is sexual references, strong language, murder & kidnapping included in the story. Fascinating (A Duskwood Fanfiction)
The story continues after (YN) receives the video from Jake who told her about half of his identity to consider. After learning the truth, she started working with Lilly to find Hannah and help to cover and mislead the government to the possible whereabouts of Jake using the movement Lilly made. In additional, (YN) will discover more than about this case, not just about Hannah but the crimes of the past where she encountered years ago. However, the connection about Jake and (YN) to each other; will they give each other the chance despite the danger they will face and the fact that they are a totally different in terms of their identity? Are their connection is just about the sake of this case and will separate after or they will plan something for themselves? They cannot risk at this moment, but they cannot even stop how they feel for each other. They exchange the compliment of fascination yet one side is denial. If one keeps on denying, it will open an opportunity to someone who developed a real care for (YN).
