Hawkins Indiana was a small, quiet town with very little worth noting. For decades, Hawkins has been well looked after by the family founded the quiet, little town. This family, the Hawkins family, have been well respected among the community for their openness, their charity, their kindness and lastly, their wallets. Raymond Hawkins, his wife Judith and their four children seem like the perfect family. With their oldest graduating early and joining his uncle, Police Chief Jim Hopper on the police force, their twins becoming the most popular children in high school, and their youngest... well, he was there too. But in the fall of the year 1983, one of the locals goes missing. Not just any local either. A young boy by the name of Will Byers went missing. Raymond, now the mayor of Hawkins, has to deal with a crisis in this small, quiet town. It's been decades since something eventful happened, and a child's sudden disappearance is the last thing Raymond needs. With the town walking around Hawkins in fear and the Department of Energy being a pain in the neck, Raymond is just grateful his darling family won't make his life any more complicated.
